What A Weekend!!

What A Weekend!! We started it off with a baby shower, followed by a birthday and then finished with a Rockwell family party!

Here's cute pregnant Courtney and Joe, the proud daddy!

Court got such cute stuff! Thanks for all the presents!

Gift from my mom, sisters and I - it's amazing how much stuff you need for such a little person!

A Big Thank You to everyone that came!! We had such a good time! We absolutely love Court and are proud of her for putting up with us :) We are sooooo very excited for the day when the little one is finally here!

The Birthday Party!!

For Audrey's birthday we gathered at the Hollywood Connection for a little Miniature Golfing....

Some bumper cars...

And to enjoy some of their rides...

Well..... maybe not everyone enjoyed the rides.... Blecka!

And last but not least, a Rockwell party to celebrate Grandma's birthday!! I've been married to JJ for 2 years now and we've never had a Rockwell family party - so this was long overdue and we had a great time seeing people again (or for the first time as was the case for me!).

Happy Birthday!!

Cutest little grandma!!! She was telling me a story about the kids she teaches art to and how their parents complain about the cost ($15 a month - 6 hour classes... give me a break - that's nothing people!!) and she had me in tears when she said, "I just can't believe how stupid they are!" My grandma calls people stupid! I love it!!! :)

LOVE this Aunt of mine - she makes me smile every time I see her! And her hubby is just about the coolest guy ever! Love you Rockwells!

Happy Anniversary!!!

We made it another year! We've got 2 superb years under our belts now and we're still so very much in love! JJ and I went to Park City for the weekend and had a great time. We may not have gone rock climbing, biking or other crazy outdoor things but we still had a blast. My favorite part (ok... just one of my favorite parts) was being with just my hubby. No parents, no phone calls, no homework - just me and my eternal companion... Pure Happiness!

Mr. and Mrs. JJ Rockwell!

This is at our favorite breakfast place, "Good Karma." They have awesome french toast (yes I know that's 'ruined bread' Amy - but it's still tasty!!!)

Me and my teddy bear, every time I'm on Main Street in PC I have to get a picture with this guy, I just think he's so cute!!

We found this little cafe/bistro to grab a quick bite and thought the cow decor was hilarious! Even the air conditioning pipes were painted black and white and the vents pink - it was "udderly" fantastic! :)

Pirate Jidgernut out to get some booty :) tee hee hee!

We also spent some time at our hotel's pool, I was being a fish out of water that day - not wanting to swim - so I just played with the camera instead!

Swimmin' JJ - he had the entire pool to himself! He attempted to do some hand-stands and spell out YMCA with his legs/feet but he wouldn't allow me to post them so this is all you get! Party Pooper!

Sunday we spent a large part of the day in our hotel room - we played lots of card games ("Golf" pictured above). He refused to quit playing until he had finally won something... Candace 7 JJ 2 - I really do RockWell!!!! :)
The weekend was perfect - time alone, shopping, great food, sunshine, leaves changing colors, swimming, movies, what could be better!! A message for my love, it's been two wonderful years... we've had our ups and downs, hard times and good, tears of sorrow and of joy - we stood by each other through it all and I wouldn't change a thing. I've loved being married to you and I'd marry you again in a heartbeat! I love you honey!!!

Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning? I remember my brother and I getting ready for work, my cousin (who worked with Joe) walked right in our front door and went straight for the TV. He turned it on and we all fell silent, left as statues in whatever position we were in and held our breath as we watched smoke billow from one of the two towers. A gasp escaped my mouth, my hand reaching up to my heart, tears fell from my eyes as we watched the second plane crash into the second tower. I don't remember how long I stood there, but I did eventually rip myself from the TV and got to work. My co-workers and I spent ever minute we could in the breakroom watching the firemen, police officers, ordinary citizens help others... we watched the towers fall... it was at our morning meeting that we were told about the Pentagon and flight 96 that went down in the Penn. field because Americans refused to let the terrorists take the plane elsewhere. Work was slow, I found myself just glaring at customers who came in to shop while people were dying across the country, we were eventually all sent home and the store was closed. I sat on the couch for the rest of the day to watch all the news I could, feeling grateful that I knew my family was safe, cried tears for all those that were lost, and felt my American pride build as I knew we wouldn't let this go, we would retaliate.

I love this country, I love being an American, and I love all those men and women that have served and are serving this country. I've had the priviledge of knowing many men and women who have served their tour of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, I thank them for their time. To all those who lost their lives on September 11th and those that have lost their lives protecting this country, it's people and all the freedoms we enjoy everyday... we owe our thanks and our lives. May you all offer a moment of silence for them on this day. Be Proud to be an American!!!

Family Reunion!

My mother-in-law's family gets together once a year for a reunion and being the awesomest daughter-in-law I attended even though my husband had to work (he had to last year too! punk!)

Me and the grandparents! I just love these two kids! Grandpa can make me smile no matter what, his facial expressions and witty comments make me want to hang out with him all the time so I don't miss a moment! Grandma is just a doll, when they were leaving Aunt K said, anyone want to give Grandma a hug before she leaves?! I stopped what I was doing, changed direction and ran - RAN - to her and gave a big ol' hug. She couldn't stop giggling - I just love doing that to her!

Carol's girls! (Gina not pictured: she moved to Idaho and we miss her oh so very much!)

A game of Family Fued - Grandma pitted against the ready to pop pregnant Cami. She was ready for a fight, even with that big baby girl belly, but she was no match for Grandma and her cane! No one messes with Grandma!

The newest additions getting to know one another :)

Momma-in-law and me... she hates it when I take her picture!! Even though it looks like she's smiling she's really yelling at me for sneaking up on her - muahaha!!! (insert evil cackle here)
